2019 EMT Renewal

 

All Nebraska licensed EMTs will need to renew their licenses by 12/31/2019. A renewal notice will be mailed out later this fall to EMTs. The requirements for renewal can be found in Chapter 11 Rules & Regulations for EMS Providers beginning on page 22. Please go to the following website for more complete details about EMT renewal:

Emergency Medical Technician

  • Current CPR
  • Attest to completing 20 hours of continuing education with no more than 10 hours of distributive learning programs, within the 24 months prior to the license expiration date, in the subject matter of the emergency medical technician course or request a waiver of continuing competency requirements; OR
  • Hold a current emergency medical technician certificate from the NREMT;

 

Please plan ahead so that you are not looking for continuing education hours at the last minute. If you need distributive hours, you may use 24/7.
